The Office of Civil Rights (“OCR”) announced that a settlement has been reached for an action against a health network for untimely reporting of a breach of unsecured protected health information (“PHI”). The OCR settled against Presence Health for $475,000. The OCR continues to ramp up its HIPAA audit efforts.
